This is a place to learn — whoever you are, whatever your circumstances. No account, no payment, no requirements. Everything here is published as a gift: to you, and to anyone else who wants it.
It began as the official library of the Open Knowledge application, and it still is. But it aims to be something more: a library that lives by the same spirit the application was built for — knowledge, curated and given away — not just a demonstration of the software, but a growing collection of real content.
How the courses are made
The courses here are created with the help of artificial intelligence, and we say so openly on every course that uses it. AI is used to search across diverse open sources and to draft material that aims to be curated, well structured, lawful, truthful, and genuinely pleasant to read — often weaving a story that introduces each topic alongside precise theoretical explanations.
AI assistance never means absence of responsibility. Whoever contributes a course is expected to read it, verify it, and refine it personally — and because the entire library lives in a public repository, anyone in the community can review it, correct it, and improve it too.
Who this gift really comes from
None of this would be possible without the minds behind today's AI systems. But far more deeply — by the very nature of how these systems learn — none of it would even be imaginable without the countless people who actually created knowledge and gave it away over the years: writers of free documentation, contributors to open encyclopedias, researchers who published openly, teachers who shared their materials.
That is why this project understands itself as an aggregator, not an author. And that is why every course cites its sources extensively: the citation list is not a formality — it is the real acknowledgement, aimed at the people who shared their knowledge openly so that others could learn.

Esto es un lugar para aprender — seas quien seas, sean cuales sean tus circunstancias. Sin cuentas, sin pagos, sin requisitos. Todo lo que hay aquí se publica como un regalo: para ti, y para cualquiera que lo quiera.
Nació como la librería oficial de la aplicación Open Knowledge, y lo sigue siendo. Pero aspira a algo más: a ser una librería que viva el mismo espíritu para el que se construyó la aplicación — conocimiento curado y regalado —, no solo una demostración del software, sino una colección real de contenido que crece.
Cómo se hacen los cursos
Los cursos de esta librería se crean con ayuda de inteligencia artificial, y lo decimos abiertamente en cada curso que la utiliza. La IA se usa para buscar entre fuentes abiertas diversas y para elaborar un material que pretende ser curado, bien estructurado, lícito, veraz y realmente agradable de leer — a menudo entrelazando una historia que introduce cada tema junto a explicaciones teóricas precisas.
Que haya asistencia de IA no significa que no haya responsabilidad. Quien aporta un curso tiene el deber de leerlo, verificarlo y refinarlo personalmente — y como toda la librería vive en un repositorio público, cualquier persona de la comunidad puede revisarlo, corregirlo y mejorarlo también.
De quién viene realmente este regalo
Nada de esto sería posible sin las mentes que hay detrás de los sistemas de IA actuales. Pero mucho más profundamente — por la propia naturaleza de cómo aprenden estos sistemas —, nada de esto sería siquiera imaginable sin las incontables personas que de verdad crearon conocimiento y lo regalaron a lo largo de los años: quienes escribieron documentación libre, quienes contribuyeron a enciclopedias abiertas, quienes investigaron y publicaron en abierto, quienes enseñaron y compartieron sus materiales.
Por eso este proyecto se concibe a sí mismo como un agregador, no un autor. Y por eso cada curso cita sus fuentes extensamente: la lista de citas no es un formalismo — es el verdadero agradecimiento, dirigido a las personas que compartieron su conocimiento en abierto para que otros pudieran aprender.
